1st Keiko Abe International Marimba Online Competition

This unique, newly created competition honors Keiko Abe’s lifelong dedication to promoting marimba music around the world and aims to deepen the artistry of marimba performance. Throughout the competition, participants will perform Keiko Abe’s works, and the judges will focus not only on the performer’s technical skills, but also on the performer’s musicality, expression, interpretation and understanding of the work. We aim to discover and nurture the next generation of marimba players who express their emotions and personal voices through their music on the marimba.

Since this competition will be held entirely online, performers from all over the world will be able to pursue their best performances in their own environments.

第1回安倍圭子国際マリンバ・オンライン・コンクール

この新しく創設されたユニークなコンクールは、マリンバの音楽を世界に広めることに生涯をかけて専念され続けてきた安倍圭子氏の功績を称え、マリンバ演奏への芸術性を深めることを目的としています。 コンクールを通して、参加者は安倍圭子氏の作品を演奏し、審査員は演奏者の技術的なスキルだけでなく、演奏者の音楽性、表現、作品の解釈と理解度に焦点をあてます。そして、マリンバで心を語り、音楽の感動をマリンバで表現することのできる次世代のマリンバ奏者の発掘と育成を目指すものです。

本コンクールはすべてオンラインで開催されるため、世界各地の奏者がそれぞれの環境で最善の演奏を追求できるものとなっております。
